Dear Senator Colburn:

Congratulations! Iam writing to let you know that the Maryland Farm Bureau PAC has voted to endorse your candidacy for the Maryland State Senate in District 37. Our endorsements are made based on a candidate's voting record, stated positions, and on the recommendations of Candidate Endorsement Committees of the local Farm Bureaus. Some of the local Farm Bureau Committees conducted personal interviews with candidates. Others held phone interviews or simply reviewed the voting records and questionnaire responses. We are pleased to list you among the candidates endorsed by the Maryland Farm Bureau PAC in 2006.

As an endorsed candidate, you may list the Maryland Farm Bureau PAC as an official supporter of your campaign. Maryland Farm Bureau members will be encouraged to vote for you, to volunteer on your campaing and to make donations when possible. We will also publish your name among the list of endorsed candidates in the October edition of Farm Bureau's newspapter, "Spotlight". Unfortunately, Farm Bureau rules do not allow us to release the names of our members for your use. Additionally, our very small financial account makes contributions to every endorsed candidate impossible at this time too. We hope to grow the PAC account and the political involvement of our members in the years to come. If we are able to make a donation to your campaign we will forward it to you shortly.
